The Ciotti line is my wife, Celeste's mother's line. Here is the family line as I have it so far.

Thomas married Rosa .

They had the following children:

+          2 F         i.  Theresa Cotesta  was born on 23 Apr 1898. She died on 24 Nov 1972.

Second Generation

      2. Theresa Cotesta  (Thomas) was born on 23 Apr 1898 in Roccagorga, Italy. She died on 24 Nov 1972 in Rome, New York. She was buried in St. John Cemetery, Rome, NY.

Theresa emigrated in Jan 1930 from New York. She was naturalized on 26 Jun 1944 in Utica, New York.

Certificate of Literacy (for voting purposes) from the University of the State of New York, 13 Oct 1944.

Theresa married Virgilio Ciotti ¹  on 16 May 1912 in Roccagorga, Italy. Virgilio was born on 31 Aug 1883 in Roccagorga, Italy. He died on 8 Dec 1962 in Rome, New York. He was buried in St. John Cemetery, Rome, NY.

Virgilio was employed by General Cable Corp.

Virgilio and Theresa had the following children:

               3 M        i.  Elautario "Sylvester" Ciotti  was born on 11 May 1921 in Roccagorga, Italy.

Sylvester was drafted in 1944 while he was going steady with Josephine. He was

wounded three times and highly decorated. He was discharged as a PFC in 1945 and

returned home on the Queen Mary.

Elautario married (1) Josephine . The marriage ended in divorce.

Elautario married (2) Luella .

               4 M        ii.  Jerry Ciotti  was born on 8 Mar 1923 in Roccagorga, Italy. He died on 21 May 2009 in Rome, New York.

Jerry attended Columbus Elementary School, East Rome School, Harvey Alter

Elementary School and Barringer School. He went to high school at Rome Free

Academy but WWII interrupted his high school education. When he returned home

after the war he went to work and began a family. Jerry, like many others, never

finished high school after they returned from the war. In 2001 the State of New York

established Operation Recognition to allow veterans to finally receive their high school

diplomas earning educational credit for knowledge and experience obtained while on

active duty during the war. Rome Free Academy held a special recognition for its

veterans and awarded them their long overdue diplomas.

Jerry volunteered to serve in the Air Force in 1940 and was discharged in 1946. He

was stationed with the 8th Air Force at Mitchel Field, Long Island, Iceland (for 2 1/2

years), Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Laredo, Texas, Syracuse, New York and

discharged at Fort Dix, New Jersey. During his time in the Air Force, he served as a

crew member on B17 and B24 bombers in charge of arms and ammunition and was a

member of the Military Police in London, England. He was a crew member on a

bomber which flew over Normandy on D-Day. Jerry returned from the service to reside with his wife Jane. He worked at Rome Turney Radiator Company then at Griffiss Air

Force Base as office manager for the office supply store, auto parts and paint store,

and aircraft parts store.

Jerry married Jane Norelli . Jane was born on 23 Sep 1920. She died on 27 Jul 2008.

+          5 F        iii.  Margaret Ciotti  was born on 23 Oct 1930. She died on 13 Apr 1966.

+          6 M      iv.  Thomas Ciotti  was born on 19 Oct 1931.

+          7 F        v.  Virginia Rose Ciotti  was born on 8 Oct 1933. She died on 17 Aug 2008.

+          8 F       vi.  Mary Antonette Ciotti  was born on 2 Nov 1934.

+          9 M      vii.  Anthony Ciotti  was born on 13 Jun 1936.

Third Generation

      5. Margaret Ciotti  (Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 23 Oct 1930 in Rome, New York. She died on 13 Apr 1966 in Rome, New York.

Margaret married Eugene Dunckel .

They had the following children:

             10 F         i.  Denise Dunckel .

             11 M        ii.  Wayne Dunckel .

      6. Thomas Ciotti  (Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 19 Oct 1931 in Rome, New York.

Thomas served in the military  in Dec 1953 in Korea.

Thomas married Genevieve .

They had the following children:

+        12 F         i.  Mary Ann Ciotti  was born on 11 May 1956.

+        13 F         ii.  Theresa Ann Ciotti  was born on 11 May 1956.

      7. Virginia Rose Ciotti ²  (Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 8 Oct 1933 in Rome, New York. She died on 17 Aug 2008 in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Virginia married Francis  "Fritz" Fondario  son of Gabriel Joseph Fondario and Francesca Anna De Vito in 1954 in New York. Francis was born on 6 Mar 1932 in Utica, New York.

Francis was employed as  in Norac, Azusa, California.

They had the following children:

+        15 M        ii.  Gabriel Fondario  was born on 21 May 1963.

      8. Mary Antonette Ciotti  (Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 2 Nov 1934 in Rome, New York.

Mary was employed as Career Counselor, Valley View High School, Ontario, California.

Mary married Louis Roger Fondario,  son of Gabriel Joseph Fondario and Francesca Anna De Vito on 16 Jun 1956 in New York. Louis was born on 1 Jul 1933 in Utica, New York.

Louis was employed as Electrician, General Electric, Ontario, California.

Louis and Mary had the following children:

Anthony served in the military  on 17 Sep 1954 in 3rd Armored Division, Fort Knox, KY.

Anthony married Pat Marcellata .

    12. Mary Ann Ciotti  (Thomas Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 11 May 1956 in Utica, New York.

    13. Theresa Ann Ciotti  (Thomas Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 11 May 1956 in Utica, New York.

Theresa married Paul Dunn .

    14. Maria Fondario  (Virginia Rose Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 12 May 1956.

Maria married Mario Orioli . The marriage ended in divorce.Mario was born on 24 Sep 1956.

They had the following children:

             23 M        i.  Anthony Orioli  was born on 6 Aug 1976.

+        24 M        ii.  Angelo Orioli  was born on 3 Mar 1978.

             25 F        iii.  Barbara Orioli  was born on 9 Jul 1978. She was related to her parents by adoption.

    15. Gabriel Fondario  (Virginia Rose Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 21 May 1963.

Gabriel married Kim . The marriage ended in divorce.

They had the following children:

             27 M        ii.  Vincent "Vinny" Fondario .

    16. Celeste Rebecca Fondario  (Mary Antonette Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 7 Nov 1958 in Rome, N.Y.. She was christened on 23 Nov 1958 in St. John the Baptist Church, Rome, New York.

She was employed as Physical Therapist Assistant.

Celeste was a very bright person.  She was a physical therapist.  She had an article published.

She graduated with honors from Montclair High School, attended Chaffey College, Cerritos College, and

obtained her Bachelor's degree from Cal Poly, Pomona. She also obtained her Masters in Health Science Education from Western University of Health Science in Pomona, California.

Celeste married David Brian Dunlap  son of Rev. Robert Francis Dunlap and Dolores June Hearne on 24 Mar 1984 in First Baptist Church, Covina, Ca.. David was born on 29 Sep 1959 in Arcade Hospital, North Sacramento, California. He was christened on 27 Dec 1959 in Church in the Barn, El Monte, California.

David was employed as Purchasing Agent - 10 years. He was employed as Marketing Director - 10 years.

David graduated from Western Christian High School.  He is a very talented singer and actor.  He sang

in the high school ensemble and at church and in several community productions.

David and Celeste had the following children:

    17. Laura Jean Fondario  (Mary Antonette Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 29 Feb 1960 in Rome, New York.

Laura married Mitchell Frank Martino  on 19 Jul 1986 in West Covina, California. Mitchell was born on 23 Oct 1959.

They had the following children:

             30 M        i.  Dominic Anthony Fondario Martino  was born on 12 Nov 1989 in Upland, California.

             31 F         ii.  Lauren Nicole Fondario Martino  was born on 1 Sep 1992 in Upland, California.

                  

    18. Virginia Ann Fondario  (Mary Antonette Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 15 Dec 1962. She was christened on 6 Jan 1963 in St. John the Baptist Church, Rome, New York.

Virginia married John Fenton  on 15 Oct 1983. The marriage ended in divorce.

Angelo married Zahira .

They had the following children:

    32. Louis Edward Fenton  (Virginia Ann Fondario, Mary Antonette Ciotti, Theresa Cotesta, Thomas) was born on 28 Sep 1986 in Upland, California.

Louis was not married to Ashley Englehart .
