Welcome to my family history blog. I have been researching my family history and all of its various branches and have started this blog so that other interested family members may follow it and hopefully help contribute to it to fill in any missing pieces.
First, a little background. Although my last name is Dunlap my actual family line is Hood. My father, Robert Hood, changed his name to Dunlap (his step-father's name) when he was in college. I will post histories for the following branches of the family:
Hood - my actual line.
Dunlap - my namesake line.
Phillips - my paternal grandmother's family.
Fondario - my wife's father's line.
Ciotti - my wife's mother's line.
My mother has done extensive research on her family, Hahn and Hearne, and has posted it on ancestry.com.
